2002 ePrep International Workshop
Nathalie Van de Wiele at the 2002 International ePrep Workshop
Compaq, Sophia Antipolis, May 5 & 6, 2002
Information and communication technologies for the expansion and the development of « classes préparatoires » for « grandes écoles » and similar establishments
Since the use of ICT had become a reality in CPGE teaching, the time had come to think about how and with what goals their use could be extended.
So that the teachers in CPGE could share their experiences and their ideas, ePrep organised, under the auspices of the "Union des Professeurs de Spéciales" (UPS) and in association with all the other CPGE teachers' Unions, the 2002 ePrep Workshop, entitled "Information Technologies for the development and expansion of CPGE and similar establishments".
Heralded by an article in the Monde de l'Education (pdf 469 KB), the ePrep Workshop, held on 6 & 7 May in Sophia Antipolis, brought together 170 participants (pdf 29 KB), of whom about 90 were teachers in CPGE.

Synthesis
The Workshop was international in its scale with 8 countries
represented and was organised in plenary sessions and thematic
parallel sessions. It achieved the goals it set itself very
successfully: to create the ideal environment for information
and discussion, leading to a consensus as to the foundations
for a programme of actions.
The ePrep Workshop owes its success to all the partners associated with it (see below).
All the presentations given during the Workshop, including the conclusions of the Rapporteurs of the parallel sessions, can be viewed on this site (see below). The presentations are also archived on a Web TV channel, Canal U, "the Web TV channel of the Universities".
The conclusions of the Workshop have also been integrated into a White Paper, of which various elements (in French) can be downloaded here:
You can also download the articles on the 2002 ePrep Workshop that appeared in Nice-Matin:
In line with the work and conclusions of the ePrep Workshop, from May 2002 to May 2004, ePrep launched and coordinated a number of actions in the IT field with the CPGE teachers' Unions, among witch the preparation of the 2004 ePrep International Worskhop.
