fuscia, an online programme for training in computer sciences and applied mathematics initiated by INRIA, opens its welcome desk (in French) to ePrep. From now on, when clicking on "Contact" on the ePrep Web site (French part), you will be directed, for all your questions about research in ICT, computer sciences and applied mathematics, to the fuscia welcome desk.
The strong dynamic of the last ePrep Seminar

The ePrep Community of Practice (ePrep CoP) is starting a new phase, confirmed at the last ePrep Seminar: consolidation and openness of the Community. This new phase is well appropriated to the further developments of the CoP projects. To take benefit of this strong dynamic, ePrep has produced two documents: a mapping of its CoP, and a Web page to present the studies and proposals coordinated by ePrep for designing ways for p Communitythese developments.

Organised with the support of the Conférence des grandes écoles, the 2009 ePrep International Thematic Seminar held at Institut Henri Poincaré, Paris, on October 26. This seminar brought together 30 participants from five countries (Côte d'Ivoire, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Tunisia) to work on the theme "ePrep: an open platform at the service of its community ". The 15th edition of the Online Educa Berlin Conference and Exhibition, set to be the key event for the international technology-supported learning and training actors, will be held in Berlin (Germany), on December 3 and 4. ePrep attended TEL-CoPs'09 and Serious Games, two workshops organised in conjunction with EC-TEL 2009 (fourth European Conference on Technology-enhanced Learning, Nice, France, September 29 - October 2), and had the opportunity to present a scientific paper at TEL-CoPs'09: "Emergence of a Community of Practice: a Case Study" (Daele, Van de Wiele, Charlier, Kueng, 2009).

Preparation of a scientific paper about the ePrep CoP at TEL-CoPs'09

A scientific paper on the observation and analysis of the emergence of the ePrep Community of Practice (ePrep CoP) aiming at highlighting propitious conditions for CoPs to emerge will be presented by the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) and ePrep at TEL-CoPs'09, a workshop organised in the framework of EC-TEL 2009, on September 29, 2009.
A study about the development of the ePrep CoP is launched

ePrep and the University of Fribourg (Switzerland) launch a study about the development of the ePrep Community of Pratice (ePrep CoP). This study, based on the ePrep CoP Monography produced in 2008 by the University of Fribourg in the framework of the PALETTE European project, will be presented at the next ePrep Thematic Seminar (Paris, October 26, 2009).

Proposal for the 17th Call of the "Fonds francophone des inforoutes"

ePrep has coordinated the proposal OFGE (Francophone Openess of Grandes Ecoles) in response to the 17th Call of the Fonds francophone des inforoutes. The OFGE project has for partners ePrep, ESSEC, Omeric, ParisTech (France), ESMT (Senegal), INPHB (Côte d’Ivoire), ESIB (Lebanon), EPAM and IPEST (Tunisia). The project is supported by Conférence des grandes écoles, CNED, INRIA and EDHEC. The results of the Call will be announced in Ocober 2009.

The final review meeting of the PALETTE European project
has been organised by the European Commission at EPFL, on April 2 & 3, 2009. Christine Vanoirbeek (EPFL), project scientific coordinator, Karen Marcahe (ERCIM), administrative coordinator, Bernadette Charlier (Université de Fribourg), deputy scientific coordinator, and the representatives of the consortium, among them ePrep, have presented the final results of the project. After deliberation, European representatives have congratulated the consortium for the work performed. More about PALETTE ...

The ePrep involvement in the PALETTE European project: a success story

Two documents produced by ePrep illustrate the success story of its involvement in the PALETTE European project (February 2006 - January 2009): a two page document (pdf 76 kB) for the Final PALETTE Project Report about the Participative Design developed within the ePrep Community of Practice, and a 90 s video for the project Web site describing the PALETTE services proposed to this Community. A French version of this video is proposed at the PALETTE page of this Web site, this page presenting the whole ePrep results in the framework of the PALETTE project.

Cooperation agreement between ePrep and Omeric
January 3, 2009
In the framework of its Francophone Platform project, ePrep signed a cooperation aggreement with Omeric on January 1, 2009. According to this agreement, ePrep will develop its project through the Intersession platform, developed by Omeric, under a CeCILL free license.
